This book could be more aptly titled "And The Angels Made Somewhat Violent Love...", there is no war, not even any fighting really. Some of the sex scenes are a little "rapey", but over all there is more talk of love and devotion, almost to sickening level, than there is any real bite to their angry or rage.I wish there had been at least a scene or two with their "father", God. He's talked about quite a bit, but never makes an appearance and the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger. However, over all the story is a fairly developed one.

not what i expected. this is basically angel slash fiction. wish i had some warning before i bought.
Struggled with the use of adjectives, but it sufficiently passed the time. Good concept all round, maybe subsequent books will be better.
For those of you - the three of you - out there who haven't heard of Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc, this story is an excellent introduction to the woman who will haunt your dreams with her words for the rest of your lives. There are some stories that frighten, some stories that enthrall, some stories that enlighten, and some stories that arouse. "And the Angels War" is that rarest of all tales which somehow manages to do everything. There is heartache and war between brothers, simmering scenes of purest erotic glory, passionate stolen embraces and deep theological discussions. For the discerning reader who demands nothing but the highest grade entertainment, this book is money well spent!
